Worsley Woods & Old Warke Dam
A stunning 28-hectare woodland with carved sculptures and a scenic lake.
Features the "Old Rail Trail" and views of the historic Aviary.
Monton & Roe Green Loopline
A traffic-free greenway following a former 19th-century railway line. It's flat, paved, and ideal for cycling or walking.
A 2-mile circular loop starting at Monton Green, passing through lush woodland that has reclaimed the old tracks.
The Bridgewater Canal Towpath
Known for its unique orange-tinted water (due to iron ore), this flat, paved path is perfect for a leisurely stroll.
Walk from Worsley Delph (the birthplace of the industrial revolution) toward the Monton Lighthouse.
RHS Garden Bridgewater
While the gardens require an entry fee, they offer miles of world-class curated walking paths.
There is a "car-free" discount for guests who walk or cycle to the gardens from The Coach House!
Ellesmere Park (Local Loop)
For a shorter, suburban walk, Ellesmere Park offers quiet, tree-lined avenues and grand Victorian architecture.
Simply head out of The Coach House and wander the loop of Stafford Road, Park Road, and Clarendon Road to admire the "Millionaire's Row" heritage houses.
